The Children’s Theatre Company Presents: The Best Summer Ever! | LOW COST

This inventive and hilarious series of stories is about family, life’s surprises, and the great delight of what seem to be disasters becoming your favorite memories. From Norwegian camp, to interviewing a mosquito, to the terror of his big sister getting her driver’s license, each story transports the audience into nine-year-old Maurice’s world. You may recognize your own family, and that magical summer when life is changed, families are transformed, and the adventures are non-stop.

We are excited to once again host Open Eye Theatre at our summer Free Ink Day! Their show
"Little Grandpa's Big Surprise" will be at 3:15pm in our gallery. Come between 12-2:30pm to ensure you have enough time to print your stencil monoprint and then stay for the show! Staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer any questions along the way.

The ultimate indoor adventure park. Known for their trampolines (because they’re awesome), but that’s just the tip of the Urban Air iceberg. Once you get inside, you’ll see what we mean. It takes an adventurous soul to experience all our attractions in one visit. Lucky for you, we’re open all week. Jump socks are $2.50 and if you have been there before you just bring them back and use them every time you are there so it is intended for a 1-time fee.

These openings fill up fast, so please RSVP with days at least 5 days before your jump day preference!

PJ Party at the Museum | LOW COST

$ 5 per passenger 

Put on your jammies and grab your best bear. Then head for the Linden Hills Station at Lake Harriet for the PJ Party. We’ll start with milk and cookies on the platform, then board the streetcar for a trip down the line. We’ll stop for a bedtime story from a noted children’s author before we return to the station. The event lasts about 45 minutes. In the event of rain the PJ Party will be postponed to the following Thursday.

Highland Fest marks summer's midpoint with a place to gather with friends and neighbors, with so many great activities there is sure to be something for everyone. The lineup for the weekend includes live music, art fair, a petting zoo, wiener dog races, Home Expo inflatable rides and games, and an exciting array of food and beverage vendors, community picnic, a meat raffle/bingo, Zumba in the park, movie in the park, the book mobile, a yoga class, and the inaugural All Ford Car and Truck Show, commemorating 89 years of the Twin Cities Ford Assembly Plant in cooperation with Ford Motor Company.

Karaoke has become a community tradition at Can Can. Come sing your heart out, enjoy the participatory sing-a-longs and spontaneous dance parties, cheer on other singers, and have a fantastic time! And now, it’s all ages! This is held on the Wee Stage at the very end of the boardwalk by the amazing Illuminated Reef!
