Upcoming Kinship Events and Activities
Hello Kinship families and mentors!
*New Kinship Recruitment/Community Partnerships Coordinator*
It has been a pleasure getting to know some of you via email and phone. I look forward to seeing faces at the Kinshoppe Event and many more fun occasions to come. I like to describe myself as a passionate and empathetic advocate for community service. I enjoy fresh air, deep breathing, and keeping a peaceful mindset. Working with Kinship has brought a fulfilled sense of inner satisfaction for me, because every day I get the opportunity to witness the strong and meaningful relationships created between mentors and mentees.
Hello Kinship Mentors & Families,
Happy holidays! Kinshoppe is coming again in 2017. If you are new to the program, Kinshoppe is a great opportunity for kids to select and wrap a Christmas gift for up to three (3) of their siblings. (Children without siblings may select a gift for a friend or cousin instead.)
In order to make it a fun and easy experience for everyone we have included participation requirements and appointment scheduling information.
Saturday, December 9
10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
There are a few requirements for kids to participate:
· Must be either waiting or currently matched in the Kinship program, or be a sibling that lives permanently in the Kinship family home.
· Must be between the ages of 4 and 18 and live in the Kinship family home to participate.
· Must schedule your shopping appointment in advance. We won’t be able to accommodate walk-ins.
· Kids must be present to shop for Christmas gifts.
To schedule appointments please leave a message at 612-722-1621 (NOTE: NEW NUMBER FROM PAST YEARS) or email@example.com. Please include the following information:
· Your full name and phone number as well as the first and last name, age and gender of each child. Please spell the names if you leave a voicemail. If you have more than four children shopping, please list who each of your children will be shopping for.
· Your first, second and third choices of sign up times. Shopping times are in 10-minute slots, and each child will then follow their sibling in a 10-minute slot. Shopping times run from 10 a.m. – 12:50 p.m. You can be assured the toys are evenly distributed throughout the day so all shopping times are great.
We will contact you after Dec 5th to confirm and remind you of your appointment time. If you don’t get close to your original requested time we will call right away to discuss options with you.
Once your appointments are scheduled you are set to enjoy a great gift shopping experience with your kid(s). See you there!
