October is National Bullying Prevention Month
Get involved in this month-long campaign uniting a nation to take action at the local level to prevent bullying in schools, communities and online. Initiated by PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center in 2006, National Bullying Prevention Month is a time for everyone to work together and create kindness, inclusion and acceptance in all communities.

•    Register your school or organization as a Champion Against Bullying
•    Speak in your community about bullying prevention and local activities
•    Take steps to prevent bullying by coordinating a "Run, Walk, Roll Against Bullying" in your community
•    Participate in Unity Day on Wed., Oct 24th; wear and share orange to support bullying prevention

PACER's Simon Technology Center Family Fun Day and Tech Expo

Explore assistive technology and experience a variety of devices for children, teens, and adults. Attend mini sessions to see iPad app demonstrations, get creative with accessible art and do-it-yourself technology, learn about PACER’s resources, and more. This event is free; advance registration is encouraged.

Family Fun Festival

Join us at FAIR School at Pilgrim Lane for a free afternoon of fun with your family and community! We will have something fun for everyone. There will be a FREE lunch, Bounce House, face painting, balloon animals, photo booth and prizes. So bring your lawn chair and picnic blanket for a fun fall afternoon.

Home Depot Kids’ Workshop

Join our hands-on workshop and you and your child can build a wooden Penske truck and more.  Once the project is complete, your child can personalize their truck with stickers and paint. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron and pin.

Open Streets continues to focus on community.. Unlike a more traditional street festival, we aim to fill the street primarily with businesses and organizations and people who live and work within five blocks of each route. There will be music, fun, and something to do for everyone!

Bloomington Heritage Days’ goal is to build a stronger community through the promotions of celebrations, educational programs, citizen volunteerism and the preservation of community. The BHD festival is a two day event held the third weekend in September with activities, contests, shows and live entertainment.

Kids will explore healthy foods and where they come from through stories, crafts, and kid-friendly recipes that they can share with their families. Recipes will have allergen-friendly options and explore using bulk and fresh ingredients. Adults are welcome to join, but just children should be registered. For kids ages 3-4 years old must be accompanied by an adult
